Ship / Airplane
The shuttle from cruise ships and those run by ATVO from Venice's "Marco Polo" airport and Treviso's "Canova" airport stop in Piazzale Roma, less than 100 meters from Hotel Olimpia. Alternatively, you can take a water taxi and land right at the hotel or, take the ACTV bus no. 5 from Venice's Airport to reach Piazzale Roma.
Train
From Santa Lucia train station, it is a 10/15 minute walk to Piazzale Roma and Hotel Olimpia. Cross Ponte Della Costituzione bridge, designed by Calatrava, and you will reach Piazzale Roma in just 5 minutes. If you have luggage, take vaporetto line 1 and get off at the Piazzale Roma stop. The hotel is visible from the square.
Car and Parking lots
If traveling by car, take freeway A4 and A22 and exit at the Venezia Mestre tollbooth, follow the signs for Venice (Venezia) and leave your car in one of the pay parking garages in Piazzale Roma, Hotel Olimpia is 150 meters from the garage. You can book a parking place in Garage San Marco when you make a reservation.

The historic Squero di San Trovaso boatyard was where the Cadore workers built Venice's boats; the carpenters came from the Cadore mountain areas to supply the city with enormous quantities of wood. The squero, which has the typical architecture of Cadore's houses, dates back to the 17th century and currently builds and maintains gondolas, the most traditional vessel on the lagoon.
Originally designed in stone, built in iron in the mid 19th century and lastly created in wood in January 1933, Ponte della Accademia offers a fabulous view of Venice and the Grand canal; from the top the splendid Basilica della Salute and Punta della Dogana before can be admired in front of the large basin of San Marco. The Gallerie dell’Accademia houses the most important collection of 14th to 18th century Venetian painting which should not be missed.
